Forklift operators are required to move pallets of fruit, ensuring product is located, scanned correctly, moved and loaded with care in accordance with Seeka best practice policy.

The following are requirements for the role:

• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job
• High level of safety awareness at all times
• Current OSH Forklift Operators Certificate - if operating on road or public space, F endorsement required
• If operating heavy forklift, need Class 2 Drivers Licence with F Endorsement
• Pallet trolley operation training (if required)
• On the job training provided by Supervisor/Manager
• Safety footwear and high visibility clothing required to be worn at all times
• Safety Sensitive Role - Drug and Alcohol Testing Required (pre-employment, random, reasonable cause)

Supervisor roles are available across many areas of the packhouse, to be a supervisor you will need to have some previous experience in the industry or a number of key transferable skills. You will need to be able to show that you have the ability to lead and train people in your specific area ensuring the team is performing to the required level.

Canteens have food available for staff at Huka Pak, Oakside, Transpack and KKP.

Ensuring a clean working environment for our staff and that our facilities are well maintained through proper cleaning is important to Seeka. We have a number of cleaning postions available across many of our packhouses. 

Machine Operators are responsible for the grading machine on a given line, therefore it is important to have the ability to maintain and do basic repairs on machines as necessary. The role also reports to appropriate staff on fruit quality outcomes, therefore it is important to understand a growers line, experience in the kiwifruit industry is favoured. 

The EDI team are responsible for the inputting and extraction of fruit inventory information into the electronic database. To be part of this team you will need to show that you have strong attention to detail, along with a good level of computer literacy and an understanding of the kiwifruit industry.

The Quality team are responsible for ensuring the Zespri quality standards are met, as a Quality Controller you are responsible for sampling and checking fruit to these standards, you will need previous experience in the kiwifruit industry as well as an eye for detail to fufill this role.

These roles are generally available at each packhouse and do not necessarily require any previous kiwifruit experience, most packhouses would prefer you to apply in person.
