Born in Punjab, India, Darshan and his family migrated to New Zealand in 1999 and settled in Katikati, Bay of Plenty.

Darshan's family has always been connected to the kiwifruit industry, having multiple orchards with a mixture of Green and Gold kiwifruit in production.

With an engineering background, Darshan officially joined the kiwifruit industry at the start of 2018 when he began working as a Grower Services Representative. Darshan now works as Seeka's Head of Business Development.

Darshan loves the opportunities the kiwifruit industry offers and particularly enjoys working with people towards a common goal.

To further develop his leadership skills and capabilities, Darshan has recently completed his MBA from the University of Otago.
