Frankly Speaking Week 15 Update
14 April 2016

Frankly Speaking – Week 15 Update                                Thursday 14 April

Further changes have been made to the Period 1 procurement policies for Hayward Conventional and Gold 3 Conventional, in response to fruit maturity not being as advanced as expected.

Gold 3 Conventional

A week 16 allocation of 1 million TE has been issued for the industry and Seeka’s share of this is 165,000 TE.

This allocation will earn a rate of $0.60. for all sizes
This rate is valid for submit from Monday 18 April to Thursday 21 April
Only modified kiwistart or mainpack clearances will be eligible for the allocation.
First cleared and packed up to the 165k te will be eligible for this payment.

Hayward Conventional

With the industry having “undershipped” by 5.4 million TE, the amount being procured for Period 1 supply has been reduced by 3 million TE.  This is being managed through a reduction in the week 17 and 18 allocations [1.5 million TE per week].

Current period 1 procurement:

Supply Cap [FPP] 15,300,000
Week 17 Allocation  1,500,000
Week 18 Allocation 1,500,000

In week 16 [next week], the procurement targets will be reviewed, and this may result in a further reduction to the 18,300,000 million TE.

Happy and safe harvesting.

Regards

Michael
