Welcome to our week 18 update. The weather cleared at the beginning of last week with the harvest teams getting back into the orchards mid week and we are well in the home straight with the SunGold harvest. Our harvesting crews are over the top of the clearances and we expect to complete harvest this week with only those growers struggling to clear maturity areas left.
Transpack has switched to Hayward along with Huka Pak 2. We will progressively switch the capacity from SunGold to the Hayward which has been patiently waiting. The average Hayward conventional are 6.5 and we are targeting storing lines above 8. Fruit harvested now is likely to be moved quickly as there is low stocks of Hayward in store and orders for fruit to be loaded out.

All done. Successfully completed thanks
Last week we had a call from one of our growers concerned about the safety of No 4 road in Te Puke with the amount of harvesting going on in the area. In response all trucking contractors and other post harvest providers with orchards on No 4 road were approached and agreed to communicate trucking movements on this road using a CB radio, channel 11. Our team has also placed signage along the road, which cautions all users of the road that they should anticipate a high volume of trucks on this road, and request truck drivers to use channel 11 to advise other trucks. If you have H&S concerns please let our teams know.
Happy and safe harvesting
Kind regards
Michael
