Frankly Speaking - Coronavirus level 4 update for growers

Coronavirus (COVID-19) level 4 update for growers

This is a special update to our growers and stakeholders following the announcement from the Government to move to response level 4 in 48 hours (Wednesday).

It effectively means that all non-essential services are closed and people are to work from home. Supermarkets and the food-chain will stay open and functioning. We expect this will include our SeekaFresh wholesale market that largely services supermarkets.

Tonight there is a briefing that will confirm whether kiwifruit and other fruit production can remain operating or whether we need to take a break in harvest and stop. It should be noted that we have as an industry and at Seeka put in place responsible and stringent measures to contain the virus in our community and business operations. We will update our stakeholders tomorrow on that advice.

In the meantime, its business as usual.

Kind regards

Michael
