Frankly Speaking Week 35 Update [Sunday 4 September]

Welcome to the Week 35 Update.

We are now in the final stage of the Gold 3 shipping programme with 5 weeks of shipping remaining. Our Gold 3 continues to perform well. Fruit loss is currently below the industry average [less than half], and our offshore results tracking excellently.  Managing our inventory and supplying the right fruit to orders is a focus for the inventory teams.  The challenges of the China supply programme continue to put us under pressure as Seeka continues to supply more than its share of both varieties to this market.

The last of the Hayward crop management is scheduled to be completed this week.

Kiwi Crush

The purchase of Kiwi Crush and Kiwi Crushies is an exciting opportunity for Seeka to establish a food technology and processing centre in the Bay of Plenty adding value to non-class 1 fruit. It will be operational in the Bay by the beginning of the 2017 season.   This centre will focus on adding value to the products Seeka handles and will benefit all our growers and shareholders.

Regards

Michael
